Innovation Awards for Shrewsbury and Telford Health Libraries

We've been commended for Good/Best Practice in the annual Sally Hernando Award for Innovation in NHS Library and Knowledge Services for our Knowledge Centres, in both the organisational and product initiative categories.

These awards recognise innovation in library services, and it's great to have our work recognised as such. The Knowledge Centres have been developed as a way of aligning our resources and services to the needs of the Trust's Clinical Centres and Trust initiatives such as the Leadership Academy and Leading Improvement in Patient Safety, and enable staff to access new journal articles, search tools, guidance, books, staff publications and more in an easy to use interface.

We're not resting on our laurels though, and as well as continuing to develop the Knowledge Centres further, will be looking at the innovations of other library services and seeing whether these would be appropriate for us to implement for the benefit of our library users.
